Service Manager

Preferred applicants will possess a minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a commercial HVAC service department, prior field service work and knowledge of: commercial heating and air conditioning; refrigeration; hydronic, steam and chilled water equipment; servicing, installation and building control of said equipment.   Applicants must also possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as strong oral and written communication skills.

This employee will work closely with the Vice President of Service to run the department and increase revenue.  Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day to day operations of the department
  • Estimating and proposing new service work
  • Estimating and proposing preventative maintenance work
  • Obtaining new customers
  • Managing and mentoring service technicians
  • Guiding and assisting the service dispatcher
  • Overseeing invoicing and accounts receivable
  • Project management
  • Customer relations

Field Coordinator

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Compile list of materials required for jobs and order materials on a timely basis
  • Coordinate delivery of material to job sites with company delivery drivers
  • Occasionally deliver materials to job sites
  • Work with Sales Engineers to schedule field personnel
  • Schedule cranes, manlifts and other subcontractors and suppliers to meet project deadlines
  • Effectively plan and control the purchasing process, ensuring all equipment and materials are obtained at the lowest possible price
  • Manage receiving process – ensure incoming orders are accurate and undamaged, coordinate returns/replacements, properly storing items, and processing paperwork in a timely manner
  • Coordinate pick-up and delivery of “will call” orders
  • Inventory maintenance – maintain stock items at acceptable levels, ensure inventory is organized in warehouse, assist with annual physical inventory count
  • Maintenance and loss control of ladders, tools and other equipment
  • Ensure warehouse is kept secure, organized and clean
  • Ensure company vehicles are properly maintained
  • General maintenance of building, both inside and out
  • Work closely with Safety Coordinator to identify and resolve potential hazardous conditions and practices

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • A demonstrated ability to develop positive working relationships and effectively communicate with coworkers, managers, and outside vendors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Organization skills, including effectively handling multiple tasks and competing priorities
  • A good knowledge of various parts and equipment commonly used in the HVAC industry
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Experience in a similar capacity in a construction related field preferred

Salary will be based on industry experience.

HVAC Sales Engineer / Project Manager

Service Dispatcher

Service dispatcher job duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Taking incoming service calls from customers
  • Scheduling and dispatching field technicians
  • Communicating with customers regarding scheduling and post-service follow up
  • Reviewing weekly timecards for accuracy
  • Loading all service jobs into the accounting software program
  • Managing the preventative maintenance program
  • All departmental filing
  • Backing up the receptionist

Knowledge of job cost accounting is preferred, but not required.


Position is Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 4:00 pm.  However, the service coordinator is expected to be available by company provided cell phone 24 hours a day.
